On Friday, September 22, the Vienne prefecture seized the Poitiers prosecutor for “public insult” after a poster announcing a demonstration against police violence associated a swastika with the logo of the national police. The poster distributed by the “Poitiers antifasciste” collective shows a black shoe, bearing the latter’s logo, about to crush a snake whose head is marked with a swastika and topped with a hat bearing the logo of the national police. “This shocking and hateful poster seriously insults the national police” And “expresses a message that could call for violence against the police”denounces the prefecture.
According to her, a united march “against racism, for social justice, against police violence” is organized on Saturday in Poitiers at the initiative of representatives of La France insoumise and the Independent Workers’ Party. The “Poitiers antifasciste” collective called for participation on social networks by distributing this poster.
