Justice “is irreplaceable, so we must let it be” declared Monday, September 25 on France Inter, director Luc Besson, regarding the accusations of rape made in 2018 by actress Sand Van Roy and definitively dismissed by the Court of Cassation last June. “Justice did its job, it was not on my side”said the director.

“I am not guilty, I did not do what I am accused of” also reaffirmed Luc Besson, while Sand Van Roy still intends to take the case to court, this time in Belgium. “I would be incapable, it’s my education, of keeping a lie like that for years. If I had done something stupid, I would raise my hand, I would say it and I would pay the consequences.” He does not intend to file a complaint against the actress.

Today, “What interests me is making films. I’m 64 years old, I must have 2-3 left, if I could make them quietly that would suit me”concluded Luc Besson, who is releasing his film “Dogman” in theaters on Wednesday.
