In the cinema, Juliette Binoche and Julie Gayet have had a rather similar journey: in their fifties (58 years old for the first, 50 for her youngest), the two women have often been courted by auteur cinema but they have also shot for popular films, sometimes accepting roles in which they were not expected.
But in life, both have also followed the same path… sharing their lives with the same person! An Argentinian director, Santiago Amigorena, who first fell in love with Julie Gayet. In 2000, the young couple, in love as ever, got married. Then, they become the parents of two children, Tadéo and Ezekiel, of whom they will end up sharing custody. Less than five years after their union, the couple announced their divorce.
A difficult separation for the director who wrote in one of his books: “The story was banal: she was an actress and, after having loved him exclusively (…) she had fallen (…) deeply in love with an actor.” Santiago Amigorena then immersed himself in work and in particular in the making of his first film, A few days in September.
A work in which Juliette Binoche participates. And what had to happen happened, the director and the actress fell madly in love! At the time, she was already the mother of two children: her 13-year-old son Raphaël, born of a first union with the diver André Hallé, and her daughter Hana, whose father is Benoit Magimel, with whom she had just divorced. Both live three years of passion but the separation occurs in 2009.
Today, everyone has rebuilt their lives: Julie Gayet married ex-president François Hollande who has shared her life since 2014. Santiago Amigorena, in a relationship with a screenwriter, has become the father of a third child . As for Juliette Binoche, she keeps her private life very secret and does not want to reveal whether she is in a relationship or not.
