- PREPARATION TIME: 10 min
- COOKING TIME: 50min
Ingredients for 8 people:
- 350 G OF CARROTS
- 120 G BUTTER
- 150 G VERGEOISE
- 1/4 CC OF GINGER
- 1/2 tsp CINNAMON
- 2 CLOVE NAILS
- 1 GOOD SHREDED NUTNUT
- 2 VERY LARGE EGGS (OR 3 MEDIUM)
- 180 G OF FLOUR
- 2/3 OF A BAG OF CHEMICAL YEAST
- 40 G OF ALMOND POWDER
- 1 PINCH OF SALT
Let’s get started!
Step 1
Take the butter out of the refrigerator. Preheat the oven to 160 ° C (th. 5-6).
2nd step
Peel and grate the carrots using a small grid, or cut them into pieces before mashing them in a food processor. Squeeze them in a cloth to extract as much water as possible.
Step 3
In a bowl, mix the softened butter with the vergeoise, the spices and the salt. Whisk vigorously for 3 minutes. Add the eggs one by one, whisking between each addition. Gradually incorporate the flour and baking powder previously mixed with a spatula, then the almond powder.
Step 4
Pour into a well buttered cake tin, put in the oven and cook for 50 minutes. Turn out lukewarm and leave to dry on a rack
Happy Halloween !
