The President of the United States visited, tuesday may 17, in Buffalo to pay tribute to the victims of the racist massacre that had taken place three days earlier. Joe Biden listed the names of the ten victims, all African-American. To this tribute was added a speech of anger towards racism and white supremacism. “It is a poison, an evil that must not prevail in American society”, did he declare. It also enjoins the media and his Republican adversaries to stop trivializing this ideology.

On Saturday May 14, an 18-year-old young man opened fire in a supermarket in the city. He was arrested on the spot. The racist motive of his crime is hardly in doubt.
