The Dolbeau-Mistassini singer has teamed up with Universal Music Canada, the country’s biggest music label, following her triumph on the show Canada’s Got Talent which earned him the Golden Buzzer from host Lindsay Ell. I Surrender is precisely the song that the Jeannoise performed during her live audition on the show, a tribute to her idol Celine Dion, whose original version of the song appears on the album A New Day Has Comein 2002.

“This song has been a favorite since the first time I heard it,” said Jeanick Fournier in a press release. Perform this song at Canada’s Got Talent, it was so obvious to me; I’ve been singing it for a long time so I knew that even though I was extremely nervous and emotional, I would manage to sing it. When the time came, I told myself that I was going to sing with my heart, my guts, to offer a better life to my children and not break my head for the end of the month. »

Until very recently, an attendant for palliative care beneficiaries in a care home in Saguenay, Jeanick Fournier put the finishing touches to her album last August. The album, produced by Jay Lefebvre (Roch Voisine, Brigitte Boisjoli, Glass Tiger) includes many of the singer’s favorite interpretations, but also two original songs, including one in French written by Amélie Larocque.
