Direction Bussy-Saint-Georges in Seine-et-Marne, where Pierre, 24, moved last year. Originally from Corsica, he is an engineer in public works. The first time he voted in a presidential election was for Jean Lassalle in 2017. Since then, Pierre has decided to be an activist in his “Résistons!” party. Rurality, defended by the candidate Jean Lassalle, Pierre carries it in the heart: his father was a farmer in Corsica.
Pierre, an activist with Jean Lassalle, says he is attached to rurality and the defense of territories. “In Corsica, I grew up in nationalist and autonomist circles. When I read Jean Lassalle’s proposals around decentralization and campaigns as a great national cause, it spoke to me a lot.“
Pierre talks about his father who started out as a farmer. He also remembers “of the farmer’s wife, from whom we often took the cheese, near the house“. The Rurals “are people I look up to a lot and who don’t necessarily earn a good living. Jean Lassalle defends the forgotten people who are the people of our villages in Creuse or Corsica. If Jean Lassalle is the candidate who defends them then I want to be with him“.
For the young public works engineer, “By urbanizing so quickly, we may have lost something that made France and our identity.“
“The countryside is where the majority of French people come from.”

It was in 2017, when he was about to vote for the first time, that Pierre discovered for the program of candidate Jean Lassalle. Decentralization, defense of rurality… he was also convinced by the proposal to establish compulsory military and civic service at 18. “He also has experience and I have respect for the elders.”
Pierre decided to embark on activism in full containment linked to the Covid. It evokes a loss of meaning around studies. “I needed to get involved in a cause that was beyond me to feel useful to society. And since I really liked Jean Lassalle and his ideas speak to me, I told myself that I was going to help him carry the voice of those whom no one listens to.”
More generally, on behalf of the political class, Pierre asks “more democracy.“He feels there is right now”a problem of public debate“. However, “people have ideas and want to get involved“, adds Peter. “But opposite, we have leaders who ignore us. Jean Lassalle, given what man is, I tend to think that he will“.
