Jean-François Vilotte will succeed Florence Hardouin as general manager of the French Football Federation (FFF), the sports management of Radio France learned Thursday, April 20, from an internal source at the FFF, confirming information from RMC. Jean-François Vilotte, 65, is the former general manager of the French Tennis Federation (FFT) and Roland Garros. A lawyer at the Paris Bar, he is also an arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

In office since 2013, Florence Hardouin was suspended on a precautionary basis for serious misconduct on January 11, following a federal executive committee which also recorded the withdrawal of President Noël Le Graët. She was then fired.

Florence Hardouin, a former fencer, has long formed a united tandem with Noël Le Graët. However, their “initial operational proximity turned into a toxic relationship”, according to the summary of the audit report on the FFF commissioned by the Ministry of Sports.
