At the start, it was just a little newsletter produced by the congregation of the Augustins of the Assumption. Its purpose was to accompany the faithful on the way to Lourdes. 150 years later, Pilgrim holds the record for longevity for a French weekly. The Catholic-inspired news magazine has 100,000 subscribers.

For its anniversary, it publishes two issues: a special edition whose front page is a mosaic of old covers and a special collector’s issue with the newspaper’s archives to review the major events that have gone through this century and a half of existence.
