It is an unmissable autumn event in the Mayenne bocage. The Renaudies Gardens, in Colombier-du-Plessis,
organize this Sunday, October 9 the 27th edition of the pumpkin festival. Several activities are planned from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Pumpkin Market offers 80 varieties of squash grown by the site’s gardeners: pumpkin, pumpkin, butternut squash, patisson. etc… Some are eaten as a starter, others as a main course, others are excellent for desserts. On the other hand, gourds are not eaten but make lovely decorations that will last all winter at home.
Children are spoiled for choice between pumpkin carving workshops, pony rides, singing and storytelling activities, party make-up, life-size games, the corn maze.
The market for local and craft producerswhere 40 exhibitors showcase their know-how. Cooking demonstrations : Cucurbits are not all cooked the same way. You can taste and leave with recipe ideas. Weighing the biggest pumpkin awaits you: it’s up to you to aim straight!
