The year 2022 will not be easy for Pierre Niney. Indeed, the actor is currently promoting Black Box which he is showing. Moreover, the film is rather in the spotlight in the César 2022 since it is nominated in five categories. As for his own case, the actor is listed in the Best Actor category. This Wednesday, January 26, 2022, the handsome brunette reacted to this announcement with the following message in his Instagram story: “Being nominated for the César this year: very cool but knowing that my brother @francoiscivilofficiel, with whom we have been dreaming of this job for almost fifteen years, will also be there = little emotion”. He took the opportunity to throw a small tackle to Gilles Lellouche in passing: “unlike this asshole @autopromodegilleslellouche which we would have done well without”.
Indeed, Gilles Lellouche and Pierre Niney are both nominated in this category. Philippe’s brother also sent messages to his colleague to show him a tweet saying: “Gilles Lellouche is exceptional, he will crush Pierre Ninay who is good but not great”. “It falls like hotcakes” he pointed out.
Still deep in their “quarrel”, Pierre Niney announced that war had been declared while announcing: “Humility and benevolence will be the key words of this fight”. Each did not hesitate to tickle the other on their potential victory. “You’re going to sit nice and warm. You’ll tell me how I look on stage” dropped Pierre Niney. For his part, his “rival” concluded by dropping: “You’re going to watch the show from the top of your cottage in the countryside, aren’t you? Because if you can save gas, that’s just as well. You’re not going to lose anywhere.” It remains to be seen who will finally have the trophy next month.
In 2015, Pierre Niney had also delivered a moving speech by obtaining the title of “Best actor”. “I feel like I’m in another life in which I see Kristen Stewart and Juliette Binoche handing me a Caesar, it’s very strange”. He also had nice words for Guillaume Galienne, his partner in Yves Saint Lawrence: “[Tu es] the other half of this film, the other half of this couple, of this story of creation, of love… and therefore the other half of this Caesar. But since you’ve already had five, I’ll keep it, if it suits you.”
