The European elections of June 9 constitute “a referendum for or against the disintegration of France”said Friday on franceinfo Laurent Jacobelli, spokesperson for the National Rally, one month before the election. “We, with Jordan Bardella, believe that a sovereign, strong France can participate in an innovative, useful European Union whereas today it is a bit the opposite”he adds.

“We have a European Union which wants to replace the States”criticizes the RN deputy for Moselle who rejects a “European Union-federal state above nations because this Europe has failed in immigration, in economic matters and it is getting worse and worse”. The RN wants “of a Europe of nations that work together, that collaborate for the best while remaining independent.”

“We do not want to leave the European Union”

Thursday, during a trip to Brittany, Prime Minister Gabriel Attal affirmed that the question that arises for the European elections of June 9 is: do we want to remain “inside or outside” of the European Union, accusing the Rally national to prepare “a methodical organization” of leaving the EU.

“We are very clear, we do not wish to leave the European Union. It is probably a fantasy of Gabriel Attalreplied Laurent Jacobelli, a form of intellectual laziness which leads him to find binary arguments which would allow him to defend his candidate [Valérie Hayer] who today looks more like the captain of the Titanic than the savior of Europe.
