It’s 2052, celebrate in (almost) real time the presentation of the very first medals of the Paris Games in a warmer climate

The eyes of the world are fixed on Paris and the 2024 Olympic Games. But read this carefully: here, we are in June 2052, in a world even more disrupted by climate change. Franceinfo is taking advantage of this fortnight to imagine what these same Paris Games could look like in twenty-eight years.

Franceinfo has chosen to tell, in (almost) real time, six significant days of these Olympic and Paralympic Games of the future. A story of anticipation based on current knowledge, supported by reports and interviews with climate science researchers and personalities from the world of sport (see our methodologyThe final scenario describes Games marked by a chosen sobriety and a recourse to technology, sometimes synonymous with maladaptation.
