The outgoing president explained that he had failed to carry out his desired reform from 2017 to introduce a dose of proportional representation and reduce the number of parliamentarians, due to a blockage in the Senate.
“I always wanted to do the proportional to better distribute the representation, whether it is full or in part. And I have always attached it to a reduction in the number of elected officials.”
