Isérois Geoffrey Bouchard gives up after a positive Covid test

A hard blow for the rider from Voiron Geoffrey Bouchard. He abandons the Tour de France, the first in which he participated and while the mountain stages arrived in particular in Isère next week. He will therefore already not be on the starting line this Saturday in Dole for the 8th stage. He tested positive for covid-19, his AG2R Citroën team announced this Saturday morning on Twitter, “an antigen test that turned out to be positive”. He was unwell yesterday during the 7th stage and took a test as soon as he returned to the hotel.

The other members of the team have also been tested but they are all negative.
