The 208 Camaïeu stores in France will not be blocked this Thursday but employees are invited to wear a black T-shirt at the call of the UPAE union. Accompanied by the CGT, he organizes a demonstration in front of the headquarters of the northern company in Roubaix at 12 o’clock.
90 million euros are missing
Placed in receivership, Camaïeu has lost its potential buyer, the Gordon Brothers fund, according to the UPAE which attended the CSE organized on Monday by the management. There would therefore no longer be any candidate for the takeover to date, whereas offers must be reviewed in less than a week, September 28.
The management is looking to complete its continuation plan but it lacks 90 million euros. If she finds them, observation period can be financed from October 2022 to January 2023.
An offer before the weekend? “Unlikely” according to the union
If she can’t find them, the judicial liquidation could be pronounced by the beginning of October. All of the employees would then be dismissed within 21 days of the liquidation judgment.
According to the UPAE, no offer will therefore be examined on September 28, “unless a global offer is submitted on September 23 at midnight, which seems very unlikely”
