Who is behind the shots that recently targeted the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant? Moscow and kyiv pass the buck. We take stock.

A projectile planted a few hundred meters from the reactors of the Zaporijjia power plant, in Ukraine. This spectacle thrilled the international community. The nuclear power plant was bombed in early August, several times. Immediately, the Ukrainian president accused Moscow. A month later, inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) arrived on the scene for an inspection.

For the director of the IAEA, the physical integrity of the plant has been violated on several occasions, but they do not name those responsible. What is certain is that the Russians are not content to occupy the site. Russian investigative media The Insider revealed footage dated August 2, showing Russian military trucks unloading some kind of cargo at the Zaporizhia power plant. On satellite images of August 29, there are armored vehicles parked along a road, about 50 meters from one of the reactors.

Ukraine even accuses Russia of using the plant as a military base and storing munitions there, without proving it. The bombings against the plant would be a Russian tactic to blame kyiv. The strikes do not rain only on the central. They intensified at the end of August in the surrounding residential areas. These strikes are very Russian. Russia is therefore targeting targets close to the Zaporijjia power plant, but for the moment, it is impossible to say that the missiles which fell within its walls are Russian.
