Demonstrators put on the show. 120 years later, the recipe still works, spectators are on the lookout for a good deal. “I come every year, precisely in order to find something that interests me and that I can find cheaper”, explained a visitor. But do exhibitors benefit from online sales? It costs tens of thousands of euros to set up a stand at the famous fair. It is possible to make money at the event and many people can stop by a stand, which can help it grow, particularly through online purchases.
Discounts only for visitors
Some good deals are done exclusively on the stands, with discounts only for visitors. For some exhibitors, you have to get your hands dirty to succeed in selling and thus increase your turnover to be able to earn a salary. This year again, visitors were there at the Paris fair but, with inflation, they were more careful with their wallets.
