Internet users outraged by the story of the death of little Yanis

On February 5, 2022, an 8-year-old boy named was hit by a driver, on a pedestrian crossing in Villeneuve-de-la-Raho (Pyrénées-Orientales). Violently dragged several meters, the little boy did not die instantly, was transported to hospital and then finally died of his terrible injuries.
A few weeks ago, a first court decision was rendered against the fifty-year-old driver, a certain Marie-Christine B., at the Perpignan courthouse. The prosecution only requested a five-year suspended prison sentence and an 18-month license suspension, which literally means that she will not go to prison and will have no punishment despite the death of the little boy.
This Friday, October 28, 2022, Akim, the dad of little Yanis was present on the set of “Touche à mon poste” to express his pain and his dismay at the decision that was made. The father recalled that the speeder did not stop, that she continued to drive and thus dragged the little boy for 22 meters before stopping his vehicle. Also, she would not have bothered to notify the emergency services, drove another 500 meters and was content to make a phone call to her policeman son. She would then have gone to the police station to explain that she thought she had hit a bird… before coming out completely free.
