While the month of Ramadan began this Thursday, March 23, 2023, stars and anonymous people – who practice it (or not) – willingly share countless dishes on social networks to break the fast. And the menus put in the spotlight are constantly met with great success with Internet users. Having a large community on Instagram, Jimmy Mohamed, the essential doctor of the PAF has therefore unveiled a daring recipe which has aroused many reactions!
Alongside chef Nabil Zemmouri, the principal concerned revisited bricks made with very little fat. “Well I have to talk to you, during Ramadan it’s no longer possible […]”, he then explains facing the camera, pointing to the iconic savory pastry. But today I have an alternative […]. “We’re just going to put two tablespoons of olive oil […]”. “This is going to be the only fat in all our preparation”, emphasizes his interlocutor by adding red onions and mushrooms to a pan. Without forgetting the paprika and raz el hanout for pimp taste !
“And I’m going to add my chicken, directly without cooking it”, says Nabil Zemmouri. “And then we’ll be able to stuff our bricks. We’ll add a little bit of fresh grass. The vegetal nature of the herbs will break up the fat in the dish”. In the process, the latter sprinkled his confection with grated cheese: “When it melts, well it makes fat, and it makes salt […]. A little pepper. We take our brig and we fold it on itself […]”.

By browning the bricks in the pan, the duo refused to use more oil. “We’re going to send this to cooking for five minutes […]. We have a golden cooking […]. Jimmy we have our bricks without fat”, announces Nabil Zemmouri without pride. “We add a little bit of parsley leaf […]. Add the zest, there we have a little freshness. And there, the chicken, it is cooked, but not overcooked…”
If some Internet users have literally been seduced by this trick, others have winced about this video: “Sorry Jimmy, but a brick without oil is like a night without stars”, “No! Long live the bricks in the frying. Sorry, I’m not this time”, “You’re going too far. The brick is sacred during Ramadan”, “Stay focused on industrial products and be careful not to overdo it with lessons and other ‘olala, it’s no longer possible, we all know that fried foods are greasy”. A debate that left no one unmoved!
