Info franceinfo Host Sébastien Cauet files complaint for “moral harassment” after tweets accusing him of having sent messages of a sexual nature to a minor

For a month, screenshots of conversations have been circulating on the social network X attributing these messages to the NRJ host.

The affair has been rumored on social networks since mid-October. Implicated on X (formerly Twitter) for having sent messages of a sexual nature to a young woman presented as a minor at the time of the facts, Sébastien Cauet counterattacks. LThe star host of NRJ filed a complaint, Wednesday November 15, at the Boulogne-Billancourt police station (Hauts-de-Seine) “for moral harassment committed through the use of an online public communication service”Franceinfo learned Thursday, November 16 from the Nanterre public prosecutor’s office.

UA woman also filed a complaint for rape against radio host Cauet, Saturday November 18, at the Saint-Laurent-sur-Saône gendarmerie (Ain), franceinfo learned on Tuesday from the Bourg-en-Bresse prosecutor’s office, confirming information from The Obs.

Charges against Sébastien Cauet were first brought on October 13. A pseudonymous account, with nearly 150,000 subscribers on the social network In the days that followed, several messages from users reported behavior similar to that relayed by these unauthenticated publications.

“These allegations are completely false”

On November 14, these screenshots were rebroadcast on X by another account, whose author presents herself as the recipient of these messages, and claims to have been at the origin of the initial testimony. His post has been viewed more than three million times and has several thousand retweets. According to information from franceinfo, this young woman, now an adult, has not filed a complaint to date.

Until Friday, these testimonies had not provoked any public reaction from the host, who had not posted on his X account (formerly Twitter) since October 13. He posted a message overnight, saying “deeply shocked by the accusations” brought against him and ensuring that “These allegations are completely false”.

The investigation opened following Sébastien Cauet’s complaint was entrusted to the brigade for the repression of delinquency against the person.
