Since the beginning of the campaign, it is not uncommon to observe at least a dozen police officers around the leader of the Parti Québécois during announcements. A strong police presence is also observed near the other leaders of the political parties. “They are doing excellent work, but we will not hide the fact that it is still a transformation of the political climate in Quebec,” reacted Mr. St-Pierre Plamondon.

I was introduced to bulletproof vests as well. For the Parti Québécois, this is a sensitive issue, we will soon be celebrating the 10e anniversary of the election of Pauline Marois our first, prime minister.

The leader recalled by the very fact the attack against Mme Marois occurred in Metropolis on election night in 2012, which left one dead and one injured.

Paul St-Pierre Plamondon was recently subjected to fittings of bulletproof vests to ensure exact measurements if necessary, it was indicated after the declaration of the PQ leader. It was a request from the Sûreté du Québec, as was the police presence on the ground, the party confirmed.

During the 2019 federal campaign, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had to wear a bulletproof vest under his shirt during an activist rally. The case had particularly marked the spirits.
