“It’s the story of Leonardo da Vinci. I found that really fascinating. I learned a lot of things that I didn’t know. I have always been fascinated by this kind of geniuses, who have multiple knowledge. He could paint in an exceptional way, he was a mathematician, an engineer. We are really at the heart of the Renaissance, of the XVand century, a moment that revolutionized painting. The series is very much about the perfectionist, sickly side of Da Vinci: he starts a lot of works that he does not finish, because he is not satisfied. It’s fictionalized, like for the character of Caterina da Cremona, but it’s really successful. It made me want to read the biography Leonardo DeVinci, by Serge Bramly. »

“I really like the friendly atmosphere. France Beaudoin always manages to make it super pleasant. The music is at the center of the show and, in these times of a pandemic, it feels good. I was invited at the start of the season for the start of the school year. I understood that it was a show that was tuned like clockwork, but to attend it, to see the endless ballet behind the cameras, it’s wonderful. It runs everywhere to place the guests, set the decor. On the air, there is nothing that shows. I was impressed to see all the work, all the complexity to bring this show to its end. »

“My colleagues have done an exceptional job. What I like is that it’s the athlete who is at the heart of the process, it’s him or her who talks about himself. It really allows us to get to know them better. There are well-known names like Charles Hamelin, Max Parrot and Mikaël Kingsbury and some lesser-known ones, but we’ll discover them during the Beijing Games, I’m sure. I am thinking of Éliot Grondin, a 20-year-old boy from Beauce who is in his second Games in snowboard cross, and young Valérie Grenier, who is becoming a very good alpine skier. It’s polished, well done, professional. It’s a must see for people who want to follow the Games. »
