In the studio: faulty heating on a Volvo XC90, what to do?

Andrea, a reader of Car guideowns a 2021 Volvo XC90 Recharge. When in 100% electric mode, the heating system does not work.

Volvo explains that there is no solution at the moment, even if the problem is known. He also mentions a shortage of parts due to the COVID-19 pandemic. What to do?

Remember that the Volvo XC90 Recharge is equipped with plug-in hybrid technology. The 11.6 kWh battery gives it a 100% electric range of 29 kilometres. A full recharge using a type 2 terminal takes three hours.

The SUV can tow up to 2,250 kg (5,000 lb) and sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds.
