in Saint-Nazaire, a candidate without a party launches into the campaign

He considers himself a free electron. At 34, David Bouchez does not want us to stick a political label or any party on his back. He has always refused it, “even though some parties contacted me in the past, but i always wanted to stay independent“, says this lifelong Nazairian.

However, David Bouchez defines himself as a committed citizen, who began to campaign during the demonstrations against the Labor law in 2016, and even more so during the movement of yellow vests, which he followed from start to finish. Today, he has therefore decided to take a step forward and embark on the legislative campaign. David Bouchez presents himself at his home in Saint-Nazaire, in the eighth constituency of Loire-Atlantique.

First legislative campaign

But David Bouchez is not embarking on the adventure alone. Already, his companion, Elodie Andreau Bouchez is following him and will be his deputy for this new adventure. This former caregiver, now converted into the food industry, is also involved under the banner of the French Citizenship Federation. A political movement that claims to be “partisan”. He has just started and intends to present several candidates everywhere across France for the next elections.

As for the political movement of this movement, it is still difficult to define it. David Bouchez, for his part, has a very specific will. He presents himself above all to ask for the establishment of the RIC, the citizens’ initiative referendum. Major demand of the yellow vests, this popular referendum would allow to consult more widely all the citizens on a particular subject, without necessarily associating the Parliament.

The concern today is that there is not enough political offer outside the parties. Our democracy is at the end of its tether” – David Bouchez, legislative candidate for the eighth constituency of Loire-Atlantique.

David Bouchez also makes it a point of honor to strengthen security, with more resources for the police. He also wants a complete overhaul of the national education system in France. So that’s the outline of his program.

Market flyers

David Bouchez already knows that he will have a lot to do for this campaign. The eighth constituency of Loire-Atlantique promises to be contested between the various candidates who have already started the campaign, such as Matthias Tavel for the New Popular Union, and other local politicians ready to enter the arena. “It doesn’t scare me though“says the unlabeled candidate.”I’m ready for the fight“.

The Nazairien will therefore submit his candidacy to the prefecture this Wednesday, May 18, before officially launching his campaign. Leaflets are planned in the markets of the region, as well as public meetings. The candidate also wishes to meet several mayors of the eighth district to become famous.
