In Rouen and the surrounding towns, it is no longer possible to drive a car with a Crit’air sticker 4 or 5, Thursday September 29. Explanations.
In Déville-lès-Rouen (Seine-Maritime), motorists have been entitled to a new panel for three weeks. This is a sign that allows access to certain areas of the city only to vehicles classified 1, 2 or 3, but excludes the most polluting, Crit’air 4 and 5. These low emission zones divide the drivers. “I had to change cars. If I hadn’t had the money, what would I have done?” asks one of them. Another driver is more measured: “99 cars, I’m sorry, but you have to get them out. They’re more cars, they’re trash to me.”
This new regulation applies to 13 municipalities in the metropolis of Rouen (Seine-Maritime). No derogation is possible. The ban is valid seven days a week and 24 hours a day. What trigger the anger of some motorists. A month ago, 300 people demonstrated in Rouen.
