Rajesh Kumar Dhami, 47, suffered damage to his pelvis and bladder in a work accident. He worked for a construction company in downtown Doha, in the embassy district. One day while he was working, a highway wall came down and collapsed on top of him. He was treated in Qatar for two months and was sent back to Nepal without completing his treatment. Even today, Rajesh lives with the consequences of this accident which occurred during the summer of 2022. Qatar was quickly criticized, after the announcement, in 2010, that it would host the Soccer World Cup, for its treatment of foreign workers hired for the construction of stadiums, highways, hotels and other infrastructure for the 2022 World Cup. The case of Rajesh Kumar Dhami is an example, but the number of victims of these working conditions remains poorly documented. Adil Boukind Le Devoir
