IN PICTURES – Halloween pumpkins in the spotlight at Cueillette du Peltre

Pumpkins are in the spotlight at Cueillette du Peltre, in Moselle. Children from 4 to 12 years old are invited all this week to come create their own “Jack O ‘Lantern”, that is, a pumpkin carved out for Halloween. Registration costs 10 euros per child.

The workshops can accommodate 15 children at a time. The animators, disguised as witches or devils, let the children draw the face they want on the pumpkin, before cutting it out for them. Families then go home with their lantern, to be placed on the landing.

Ultimately, the workshops were victims of their success. Until Sunday, no place is available. But for those who couldn’t register, don’t panic. Families can always come and pick up a pumpkin, to then dig them at home, themselves.
