For the first time, the castle of Rastignac is filled with accessories and cameras. A team of 23 actors, directors and technicians is filming part of the feature film “L’Autre Laurens”. A fiction directed by the Belgian Claude Schmitz and where we find in particular the actor Olivier Rabourdin, who has already played in “Of Men and Gods” or “Taken”.
The castle of Rastignac inspires the screenplay of the film
The Château de Rastignac was not chosen at random. This building, still in ruins a few years ago, is known to be the copy of the White House, in Washington, United States. Seeing a photo of the castle five years ago, the director had the idea for the scenario of this fiction. The film is a thriller, the story of an investigation mixing pretense, fantasies and drug trafficking.
The film crew spends a fortnight in all in the Dordogne. They also filmed at the Château de Fleurac, at the Tropicana hotel restaurant in Douville and at the Lanmary Hospital Center in Antonne-et-Trigonant. Filming ends at the end of October.
