IN PICTURES – During the Easter holidays, Manchois discover the Cité de la Mer in Cherbourg

Only a few days left before the end of the Easter holidays and to take advantage of it, why not discover or rediscover the Cité de la Mer in Cherbourg! The maritime museum celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and since its opening, more than 4.5 million curious people have already visited it. This year, it is mainly Manchois who go there, notes Sophie Poret, director of operations at the Cité de la Mer.

Normal attendance

I think it’s the Covid effectshe explains. People are turning more to local tourism. Then this year, it’s our anniversary, we talk about it a lot and we have a lot of events planned, such as the exhibition on the objects of the Titanic. So it brings a lot of people. We are going back to normal post-crisis attendance and we are very happy.
