in mourning, Mylène Farmer talks about her loneliness since the death of her last companion

She returns to the stores, two years after her last album, “The influence”, with a remix compilation. And this is the opportunity for Mylène Farmer to talk a little about herself, to our Gala colleagues, this week. In an interview released on March 21, 2024, the singer of “Disenchanted” reveals that she is in mourning.

“I feel their absence in my bones”

In fact, she has just returned from a trip abroad, which she has not allowed herself for 3 years, because her dog was in poor health. Today, Gala reports that “the canine pack that she loved to walk in the west of Paris is no more”. His last dog also left him. And if Mylène Farmer assures that she “still works as well“, she also admits “It no longer gives me the same joy.”. And for good reason : “I miss my dogs, I feel their absence in my bones”she says.

A rare confidence, about her private life, since Mylène Farmer assures her, she still protects herself as much. She details as follows: “I don’t go to parties. I rarely attend premieres. Fame is part of my life, I’ve gotten used to it. But I expose myself little, so as not to suffer anything and to only fully experience chosen moments. It’s all a question of dosage, in fact.”

“I find my closest friends…”

We saw her clearly on the jury of the 74th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, in 2021, but the red carpets, for Mylène Farmer, are always exceptional. The 62-year-old star believes that his life is mostly what happens when there is no camera or audience: “I rebuild myself in silence. I have noise neurosis. I play sports, I work on my endurance, I go into the studio, I watch and feed the birds. I go to the cinema, I immerse myself in documentaries, I find my closest friends…” However, she is delighted to soon meet her fans again, at the Stade de France on September 27 and 28, and 1er october.
