in Mende, the “montée Jalabert” repainted in yellow

Three kilometers long, a 10% drop: welcome to the Jalabert climb, in Mende, in Lozère. The city renamed the Côte de la Croix Neuve ten years after Laurent Jalabert’s victory on July 14, 1995 during the 82nd Tour de France. It is here, in particular, that the Grande Boucle will make its big comeback this Saturday. It will be the 14th stage of this Tour, 192.5 km between Saint-Étienne and Mende. Nearly 500 meters were repainted in yellow. An ephemeral painting applied by the company ETSL, in agreement with the town hall of Mende, to accompany the runners symbolically on this portion which could be decisive to win the stage.
