Each year, the festival offers an eclectic and plural program. Screenings for all audiences, ranging from great films in the history of cinema, such as Billy Elliott passing through more recent successes with Outstandingor films for young audiences with Kiki’s Delivery Service.

There are regulars who have been following us for several years, families with their children, groups of young people, even people who come alone, so it’s really very varied“, welcomes Zélie Cougourdan, c.production manager for the event.

This Friday, it was on the roof of Mucem that the preview screening of the film took place Rhapsody by director Kamel Saleh. In this urban musical, we follow the fate of a hero trying to get by in a Marseille plagued by poverty and violence at the end of the 1980s. Through his character, the film also honors the golden age of French hip-hop at this time.

It’s the story of a character who has a rather special trajectory, who is between the underworld and a little social success and it is the music that will be his outlet. In the background, we also talk about the scourge of heroin in the late 1980s“, explains Kamel Saleh, director of the film.

This session was a test screening because its author considers that it will not be the final version. We will therefore have to wait a little longer before, perhaps, being able to see it in dark rooms.
