It’s difficult to make a better start than that made by Les Bleues in this World Handball Championship. Olivier Krumbholz’s players, on a brilliant roll, will play against the South Koreans on Friday December 8 in Trondheim, Norway. After a first round which they completed by finishing undefeated, the Tricolores confirmed their great form during the match against Austria (41-27) by all finding the net last Wednesday.
If the French beat their opponents of the day, they are assured of reaching the quarter-finals, and their clash on Sunday against the world title holders, the Norwegians, would then be without stakes. Given their victory against the same Koreans (36-19) two weeks ago during the French tournament, the Blues are clear favorites. Even in the event of a defeat, they could still qualify if Norway defeats Slovenia a few hours later, on Friday. Follow the match commentary.
