in Loiret, an RN candidate close to the Kremlin and the GUD?

A former member of the National Front and then the National Rally, Jean-Lin Lacapelle was invested in the fifth constituency of Loiret. In 2020, however, he appeared wearing a t-shirt bearing the image of Vladimir Putin, whom he describes as his “friend Vlad”. He was an observer, the same summer, during a vote in Crimea on a constitutional revision allowing the head of the Kremlin to stay in power for two more terms.

“We had alliances, affinities with Russia. This was before Ukraine. From Ukraine, we strongly condemned the Russian invasion”he assures, while explaining that his party did not wish to do “interference” and therefore did not vote for the resolutions in the European Parliament. Jean-Lin Lacapelle also appears with radical activists who gravitate around the RN, notably former members of the GUD.
