in Les Gets, package at €1 on Sunday for all voters

It is called the “Tous skitoyens” operation. On Sunday April 10, on the occasion of the first round of the presidential election and the last day of opening of the resort of Les Gets, the flat rate will be €1 for all voters. “The Les Gets/Morzine ski area wishes to encourage skiers to take part in the first round ballot, explains Benjamin Mugnier, the marketing and sales director of the ski lifts. Because practicing your favorite leisure on Sunday is not incompatible with that of performing a civic act. Five years ago, 22% of voters did not go to the polls.

Even if thousands of people come, this is not how we will pay the operating costs of the ski lifts – Benjamin Mugnier, the marketing and sales director of the ski lifts

“Sometimes we are told that abstention is linked to people who are not at home because in the mountains, at the beach or in the parks, says Benjamin Mugnier. We say no, you can do both: vote in the morning and continue with a day of skiing at a lower cost. And don’t tell him it’s a commercial transaction: “Even if thousands of people come, that’s not how we’re going to pay the operating costs of the ski lifts.”
