The exceptional climatic conditions observed in France also affect the United States. In northern California, more than 22,000 hectares of forest went up in smoke, and homes with it. The fire, already deadly, continues to progress.

It is a true scene of apocalypse which the Californians are witnessing. Walls of flame stretch for many miles, Monday August 1. The Klamath National Forest continues to be devastated by fires. The fire that was named McKinney even forces firefighters to stop their vehicles. They can’t go any further because of the huge inferno ravaging the vegetation. The inhabitants are evacuated in turn, but some do not want to flee and leave their homes.

Although the fire threatens, Californians refuse to leave. “When that fire came, it came down the ridge in maybe 15 minutes. The trees exploded, I’ve never seen that. It’s the most terrifying thing I’ve ever experienced“, reports Craig Hodgson, a resident of the American state. The violence of the fire is exacerbated by very dry soils and gusts of wind, which helps the spread of the flames. This gigantic fire has already killed two people.
