“I’m not crazy at all”, Isabelle Adjani makes things clear and reveals her “cure”!

Known for her unparalleled acting career, Isabelle Adjani is also renowned for her prowess in the world of song. Thus, forty years after his hit “Pull Marine” by Serge Gainsbourg, the actress is back with a brand new opus which will be released at the end of the year. In the meantime, she presents a first song called “Les currents d’air” in duet with Gaëtan Roussel.

This Friday, July 7, 2023, Isabelle Adjani was on the airwaves of RTL radio to discuss this disc made with Pascal Obispo… and which is the fruit of a long work of 17 years. On this album, the actress sings alongside Christophe, Étienne Daho and even Benjamin Biolay. “It’s an adventure made in the carelessness of passing time […] and in the freedom to do like that, without a contract. Just out of a desire to come to a studio, record and let the music flow.” she analyzes.

The opportunity for her to make an update on her status as a singer: “I am an actress who sings! I want this status. I place myself very far from those I like to listen to”. And to approach his new song with philosophy: “For me in the song, we can find a climatic metaphor. Young people will have to learn to live in this new world in which we have entered in spite of ourselves.”.

“I’m not crazy at all…”
Known for her deep and philosophical outings, Isabelle Adjani has often been mocked for her madness. We remember, for example, the mocking sketch by Florence Foresti who, parodying the actress, hammered out the sentence: “I’m not crazy you know !”.

Years later, Isabelle Adjani justifies herself again: “I don’t think I’m crazy at all! I’m super balanced for an actress who has played crazy quite a bit. I can’t even believe it!” she assured the microphone of the RTL radio. And to add: “How strong am I!” or “I did an analysis and a Freudian cure so as not to lose the sense of the reality of life…”. That is what is said.
