It was expected and it is now official, the interior Landing Sané (31 years old, 2m07) is now a player of Élan Béarnais. The club formalized it this Tuesday at the end of the afternoon, and in the process the player confided in his arrival at France Bleu Béarn Bigorre.
France Bleu Béarn Bigorre: We can imagine you more than happy to land during the season in a team which occupies the top 6 of the championship?
Landing Sané : Clearly! I have been without a club since June. I had the chance to train with Paris Basket, they let me participate in training despite their situation and I thank them. It allowed me to keep a certain physical level and I’m happy to finally find a team, especially indeed a team at the top of the standings.
Your physical form is obviously the question after so much time without playing …
Being completely honest, I’m not in the shape of my life, but I’m not out of shape, because I have stayed active. It’s not like I’ve been sitting on my couch waiting for the phone to ring! So that the day an opportunity arises, to be able to perform as quickly as possible without having to wait a month or more to get back in shape.
So the fact of arriving in a team that is doing well, what does that change?
It will force me to very quickly have to be efficient too. The team wins, it’s up to me to bring my stone to the building, my outside shot, intensity, good humor too. I can’t seem to think I’m going to make a difference, I am coming to help.

My very brother! Then, well, I’m starting to get fed up with him (laughs)! It’s nice to find him again, especially since it’s rare in top-level sport to spend so much time with the same person. It’s true ! It was not at all planned, it’s luck but it’s cool. I’m going to be determined, against Orléans, but I would have been as determined against any other team.
