“I wanted to denounce the homophobia that there is in the church”, Benjamin justifies himself after his twerk in a crop top

Things are going very fast on social networks especially on Tik Tok. For several hours, Benjamin Ledig has been at the heart of a controversy after having twerked in a church in a crop top with a friend on Tik Tok. Very quickly, the situation escalated since many Internet users did not appreciate his blasphemy. In fact, things got so bad that the 18-year-old got into a fight in a bar.

In addition to having disrespected religion, Benjamin Ledig revealed that he did not regret his gesture and that he would not apologize despite the criticism and insults. Moreover, he threatened to do the same thing in a mosque. Faced with the scandal caused by his video, the influencer went to the set of Do not touch My TV in order to defend himself this Friday, February 18, 2022. Asked about his motives, he then justified himself by saying: “I had decided to make an affront to all the reflections received in relation to religion (…) I especially wanted to denounce the homophobia that there is in the church”.

While Guillaume Genton clearly underlined that he had done this to shock the Web and make people react, the young man defended himself by adding: “I suspected that it was going to create a little discord”. That said, Benjamin Ledig received the support of Matthieu Delormeau who took his defense although the rest of the team did not really appreciate his gesture. And the columnists are not the only ones since many Internet users reacted to this and propelled this affair into Top Trends on Twitter: “But he’s completely crazy this Benjamin”, “Little Benjamin the way he contradicts himself and how his arguments are bogus, he’s seriously proud of him there huh” or “Benjamin knows very well what he is doing. Inviting him to TV sets, threatening him, etc. gives him everything he wanted: buzz. We are clearly facing the same case as that of Mila” and “Benjamin shouldn’t be defended, he didn’t respect a lot of the law so he should have a big almond or even prison!”.

Currently, Benjamin Ledig had to get a lawyer after receiving an outpouring of hatred and threats.
