Film buffs knew him as General Bertineau alongside Marion Cotillard, Samy Naceri, or even Frédéric Diefenthal in the saga Taxiby Luc Besson. But for several years, it has been a success Netflix that Jean-Christophe Bouvet flourishes. Indeed, he plays the role of Pierre Cadault in the series Emily in Paris. A role he landed almost by chance.
At the microphone of Jordan de Luxe, this Wednesday February 21, 2024, the 76-year-old actor revealed that he had passed a casting to be able to play alongside Lily Collins. “What’s extraordinary, I have a pretty funny anecdote. I was learning three texts from different films when I was called for the casting”he confided in the show At Jordan’s before giving more details on said casting: “And I had to learn this text in English, which was a bit complex. I had difficulty learning it so I came to the casting with ‘idiot board’ signs.”.
Fortunately for the actor, a “guy in the front row in the room” where he was, looked at him and did not seem bothered by the signs carried by the actor. “It was Darren Star (director of Emily in Paris) who said ‘that’s the guy'”he revealed to our colleagues.

Jean-Christophe Bouvet and his fine parties with “senior officials”
Apart from his role in Emily in Paris, Jean-Christophe Bouvet took advantage of his arrival to make a strange revelation about his fine parts in the past. “There have been some fine games with senior officials. Whose names I am obliged to keep silent. There is no question of me giving names”he warned, still facing Jordan de Luxe.
The latter, curious to know more, tried everything to obtain the slightest information: “Is it true Jean-Christophe Bouvet? You played games with senior state officials? Ministers?”. Dumb as a carp, the 76-year-old actor kept silent but still revealed that it was “very high-level officials”. “But when it’s like that, you have to hide? It’s special, isn’t it?”our colleague finally asked him before Jean-Christophe Bouvet confirmed: “In the case of these senior officials, yes, discretion is required. It was mixed, and sometimes monosex”.
