“I may be homophobic and transphobic… I assume!”, Danielle Moreau lets go when she discovers images of a drag-queen exchanging with children!

Each week, Cyril Hanouna and his columnists dissect countless current topics without filter. This Wednesday March 8, 2023, Lino and Bianca’s dad wanted to bounce back on the excerpts from a video shared by our colleagues of Origins. Facing the camera, children interact with a drag-queen and a drag-king. An initiative which aims to debate (with respect) on “genre” And “identity”. The opportunity for them to question the biases standardized by education and society.

“Me, it’s not Monsieur, it’s Madame”assures Ophelia, drag-queen, to a little girl, in a sequence. “You are a gentleman!”, replied his interlocutor. Then his comrade adds : “We recognized that you are a boy, because you have the voice.” Not without humor and with philosophy, Ophelia manages to find the right words to make herself understood. But the rest of the interview visibly irritated Guillaume Genton…

“We put children who have not asked for anything and who probably at their age do not know what they are doing there. We put them in front of drag queens to supposedly educate them. Sorry, but educating is not not that”dropped the famous producer, annoyed. “To educate is to learn to read, to write, everything is difficult […]. The only spontaneous reactions from the children in this video are the reactions of: ‘Ah, that’s weird’, ‘Why am I here’ […]. It’s appalling, it’s stupid […]”.

“We talk about it too much, it becomes propaganda…”

A point of view shared by Béatrice Rosen: “It destroys children’s landmarks. Children to grow, they need landmarks […]. Right now, we didn’t show the rest of the video, the lady dressed as a man starts talking about her sexual relations and that she sometimes has a male partner and sometimes a female partner… It’s extremely shocking to say that to children who are five, six and seven years old […]. I find what age is not, leave the children alone […] The lobbies go too far […]”.

Same story for Danielle Moreau still challenged by this “educational meeting”: “I’m sorry, but this is propaganda. Really, and I find it outrageous […]. There it may seem nice, we put on make-up, we laugh, it’s still a show, but the young woman in black explains that she lives in ‘troupe’ to her kids there… That’s extremely serious […].”.

For her, this interview would not be a coincidence… “We still note that there are hormonal treatments of children who are exploding at the moment… We talk about it too much, it becomes propaganda”, insisted the columnist of Cyril Hanouna before addressing Valérie Benaïm, visibly shocked by her tirade: “So maybe I’m homophobic, transphobic, reactionary, I’m pulling the rug out from under you, you don’t have to say it, I’m saying it for me […] I’m sorry, I assume!”
