The new EP from Belgian David Numwami is in some ways an omen of the arrival of spring, the season of returned love. The aptly named I Love You is thus a tangy declaration to relationships in all their dimensions, and which can therefore sometimes turn out to be bittersweet. Beyond the poetic and catchy lyrics in French and English, let us salute the quality of their melodic setting of an electro-pop bathed in the glow of dawn, composed by the one who collaborated as an instrumentalist with great names of French song, such as Charlotte Gainsbourg and Nicolas Godin d’Air. Furthermore, a year after the release of the title shame Fortunately, David Numwami will be in Quebec to open for the local group in April: April 24 at Minotaure in Gatineau, April 25 at Sala Rossa in Montreal, April 26 at Anti in Quebec, but also April 27 at the Grands Bois in Saint-Casimir to open the P’tit Belliveau show.
