On the occasion of his 60th birthday, he even decided to celebrate this important moment in his life by starting a special tour since last November.
When he was soon to go back on stage, the interpreter of Savoir Aimer made a terrible announcement. Indeed, Florent Pagny is forced to cancel his tour for medical reasons since he has just learned that he had a cancerous tumor in his lungs. Saddened, he spoke through a video where he apologized to his audience on instagram.
“Hello, I have to make a somewhat special announcement. I will not be able to continue my 60th anniversary tour. I have to cancel all of my concerts following a health problem. Indeed, I have just been diagnosed with a tumor lungs, a cancerous tumor. Not very sympathetic. It can’t be operated on so I have to go into a six-month protocol of chemotherapy and x-rays. Which makes me sorry. But hey, you all know that in life, the most important thing is health. When you have a problem, it becomes a priority. This explains the reason why I could not honor my commitments”, he explained this Tuesday, January 15, 2022.
That said, Florent Pagny said that we would still see him in great shape during the thirteenth “very interesting season” of The Voice which was filmed a few weeks ago now. The artist also made a promise to his audience: “Me and my other half have to put ourselves in warrior mode to face this rather special ordeal. I’m sorry. Take care of yourself, be well (…) When everything is settled, we meet again. We will come to finish what I started, it will perhaps be the tour of 61”.
