“I am very, very happy with these twelve nominations”reacted Wednesday January 24 on franceinfo Thomas Cailley, director of the film The Animal Kingdom who is leading the way in the César nominations. “We are reaching the end of the film’s career and this is final, very good news for the film’s career”he continued.
The Animal Kingdoma fantasy film set in the near future, garnered 12 nominations, notably for “best film”, “best actor” for Romain Duris and “best direction”. “It’s a film that we made in an extremely independent and free manner. We actually did what we wanted. It’s a prototype, a very hybrid film, which is very unique”he stressed.
“The intimate rubs shoulders with the spectacular. We have drama and action and also comedy.”

“There are a lot of things and we tried to be as close as possible to the characters,” comments the one who signs his second film after The fighters (2014).
