The re-elected president spoke, Sunday evening at the Champ-de-Mars, to those who had voted for him in order to block the far right, as well as to those who abstained.

Emmanuel Macron also addressed all those “who abstained. Their silence signified a refusal to choose which we must respond to.” He added that “this new era will not be the continuity of the five-year term that is ending”promising that “no won’t be left by the wayside“.
Asking his supporters not to boo his opponent in the presidential run-off, Marine Le Pen, the re-elected president said: “No, don’t whistle anyone. From the beginning, I asked you never to whistle. Because from now on, I am no longer the candidate of one side, but the president of all.”
