“I am a soldier who knows how to fight”, questioned by Mediapart the deputy of Hérault Patricia Mirallès could file a complaint

Patricia Mirallès does not rule out filing a complaint against Mediapart. In an investigation published this week, the online newspaper accused him of using his money order fees to pay personal bills.

A little over a month before the legislative elections, Patricia Mirallès announces on her Twitter account, this Saturday, May 7, that Emmanuel Macron has renewed his confidence in her to carry out her project. She is a candidate for the presidential majority in the 1st constituency of Hérault. A few days earlier, the MP had been implicated in a Mediapart investigation entitled: “The family expense reports of MP Patricia Mirallès”.

After reacting in the regional press including France 3 Occitanie, the MP remains on her position, denies these accusations and does not exclude the possibility of filing a complaint.

Still on Twitter, she says she has “sent all the documents“to her lawyers. Contacted by France 3 this Sunday, May 8, she explains that the latter are in the process”to study the possibilities“and specifies that a letter could go out”during the week“.”I am a soldier who knows how to fight“underlines the citizen reserve colonel at the 4th equipment regiment in Nîmes and vice-president of defense and the armed forces.

I received a very fair education. Politics and righteousness are part of my upbringing. (…) I am a very simple person, I am very careful, I am very rigorous, I will prove it.

The deputy could lodge a complaint in particular because she considers that the documents available to Mediapart were stolen by a former collaborator, on her “private mailbox of the assembly“.”I feel like I was raped because it’s theft, we got into my private life” she denounces. And to add: “I reserve myself to see what we are going to do because as a former collaborator we also have an ethics to have.“Furthermore, according to Patricia Mirallès, the invoices in question mention payment by credit card but do not indicate which credit card”except that I paid with my personal data” she asserts.

I am very zen about my attitude but very angry because we tried two months before an election to question my probity, we attacked my family, my son, my daughter, my husband and my team (. ..) we make headlines and we ask people to pay for the article so that then there is nothing in it!

For her, it is fierceness against politics and parliamentarians in general: “we have to stop thinking that every time we engage in politics we are being dishonest.

Touched in his “honor“and in his”dignity“, she intends to continue her campaign, supported by “lots of support“.

I approach this campaign very serenely. I continue the field, I don’t hide, I have a project and issues in the territory that I will defend.

May the best win!” concludes the one who affirms that he “don’t let it go, especially when it affects your dignity“.
