Lucile Marbeau, spokesperson for the International Committee of the Red Cross, was the guest of 19/20 info, Thursday October 19. She notably returned to the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza.

After long negotiations, 20 trucks of humanitarian aid will be authorized to enter Gaza. “This is news that we have been waiting for for a very long time. The ICRC was calling, sounding all the alarms saying: ‘Today the civilian population is lacking everything’. It’s good news that something is coming in.”, greets Lucile Marbeau, spokesperson for the International Committee of the Red Cross. However, she believes that “it’s not sufficient” and that it is “a testing phase”.

Currently, the civilian population in Gaza lacks everything”, recalls the spokesperson who mentions in particular shortages of medicines. She indicates that “The ICRC is in the process of transporting equipment [médical]” towards Rafah.
