Popular and committed singer, true modern-day troubadour, nature and animal lover, Hugues Aufray knew how to touch with his songs the hearts of a huge audience. All his career years have not changed him: he has kept his talent, his charisma, his admirable commitment to many causes, his convictions…
A free man, he remained true to himself.
“Culture smuggler” as he likes to define himself, his repertoire is often a mix of rock, blues, Spanish folklore, Latin American… Faithful to his first folk rock inspirations, one of his recent albums “New Yorker” pays homage to his friend Bob Dylan.
“Troubador Since 1948” is his latest album, released in 2011 and which includes his greatest songs such as Céline, Les Portes du Penitentier, As soon as spring returns or Stewball.
Even today, the eternal troubadour continues his journey with his musicians. He will come to meet his Jura public, Saturday April 9 at 8 p.m. at Juraparc in Lons le Saunier.
