Another “character” stands out from the others: Olivier, 33, from Jonquière, a painter who wears a large straw hat and a fire engine red speedo. Olivier tries to remain silent and blend into the background, which proves to be a dismal failure.
Two retirees were selected for the second edition of this popular reality show from Noovo. The intense André, 65 years old, from Mirabel, is so passionate about life that he has lost all his teeth (he proudly shows off his dentures in the first episode). Among the strong faces of the 2024 vintage, we find the ultra-competitive Jean-Michel, 32 years old, psychology teacher from Moncton, New Brunswick, as well as Ghyslain, 29 years old, real estate entrepreneur and father of three young children, Vaudreuil-Dorion. These two will be ones to watch. Ghyslain could even become this season’s Jean-Junior, minus the guru side.
Like Joël last year, Raphaël, 26, from Sainte-Thérèse, ranks in the category of “superfans” of Survivor and even hosts a podcast show devoted to his great passion for real-life television.
A high-level swimmer, Florence, 24, works as a “cognitive trainer”. A job that sounds good in a show where you have to convince and manipulate. And Desneiges, 33, a communications advisor from Montreal, is the first person with a disability in Survivor Quebec : she was born with one missing forearm.
This year, the blue bandanas are playing for the Bayani tribe and the orange bandanas are competing for the Nawa clan. In the first seconds of the reward event, tension rises and low blows – never seen before in Survivor Quebec – are exchanged.

It makes no sense to bring so many tears to our eyes in 60 minutes. No joke, I had puffy eyes for 24 hours. The scene where the Bracelets gang gently said goodbye to Justin (Antoine L’Écuyer) was heartbreaking. This final episode was also bathed in light with the remission of the brave and smiling Félix (Anthony Therrien), finally in remission after four years of suffering. A magnificent finale, which crowns an extremely moving final season (heart sign with hands).

Don’t get me wrong. I love Christine Beaulieu on TV (long live The eye of the storm), Béatrice Martin in my ears and Marie-Eve Janvier on the radio. From there to following these artists in the never-simple renovations, what a mess!, of their condo, their chalet or their house, it tempts me to do so. No thanks to their minor problems of very financially comfortable people. If I were being very bad faith, I would point out the “bad timing” of these shows which are arriving at a time when Quebec is experiencing an unprecedented housing crisis.
